Killing of female teachers and demolition of the Girls School in FATA Condemned

Press Release
Killing of female teachers and demolition of the Girls School in FATA Condemned
Society for Rights and Development has strongly condemned the assassination of the two female teachers in Bajour Agency FATA the other day. The Executive Director SRD voiced his concern on such brutal killing of the school female teachers in FATA and other areas which have been suffering from menace of terrorism and worst militancy. He said that this region has been left backward since inception of Pakistan in 1947 and until this day this area is backward and no government has ever bothered to develop it. Militancy has been encouraged while democracy, human rights, women rights and politics have always remained as forbidden fruits. No one has right to express himself or herself. He also condemned the explosion in a girl school in other Agency, FATA namely Khyber Agency where apparently militants and terrorists blasted a girl High School and demolished more than 20 class rooms. This is 21st century and our girls need education. Terrorists destroy things and schools while we are the people who will help them build. Killing of women is the worst terrorism and killing of an innocent female teacher is tantamount to destroy the posterity and it is worst and cruelest crime. All the humanity and international community should come forward and help us save our female teachers so that we could be able to build our nation on the condition if we save our female teachers lives in this corner of the world.

Mr. Asad Afridi Advocate, President FATA Reforms Movement welcomed the participants for sparing the mpments from their precoius time and participating in consultation on FATA.He said that FRM is neither a political party nor an NGO nad it has no political affiliation with any political party or organzation and it is rather a plate form for the tribal people from where they could raise their voice for the solution of their problems.Later the participants introduced themselves and thus the house was left open for discussion on Reforms in FATA. Mr. Zartif Khan Afridi performed as stage secretary.
Rehmat Shah Afridi
We know that there are some people who are creating hurdles for us and erect impediments in the way of our development. We tribls are human being firsts and then we are Pashtun. All Pashtun are having same culture and they are one people. We are not different from them and our culture is al;so same with other Pashtun living in other part of this country and acrposs Durand line. FATA needs to be represented in Provincial Assembly of The Pashtunkhwa Province.
Raees Norat Khan Afridi
FATA is an unfortunate area. Terrorists attack America but the brunt is endured by us.Arabs and Am,ericans are fightind their own war on our land. Pashtun will have to get united. Unless we get united our problems could never be solved. FATA is geographically a part of Pakistan but people of this area are not the citizens of Pakistan. All the people of the world have the right to form political parties but people in FATA are deprived of this fruit. Politics is a forbidden tree in FATA while we consider that politics is like oxygen for the people but people in FATA are still feeling short of this important item.In FATA no one has right to defend himself. Political Agent is centric in nature. If we are human beings then we need to defend ourselves and for this purpose we need independent judiciary and a political system where our every person has right to write and speak without the fear of a dictator who impose his ditatorial decisions on us witout our consent.
Haji Raza Khan
We need representation in Assembly.ROZs should be established in FATA. Terrorism should be abolished from FATA. Political and legal reforms should be implemented witout wasting further time.We people love to see democracy flourishing in FATA.A human being has 30 rights but people in FATA are deprived of all of them.Tribals are uneasy with this out dated system. We want salvation of this rotten system which defamed us on international fora.
Shah Faisal Khan
We want FCR to be ablished. FATA people need development and reforms.FATA shopuld be given a separate entity.Local bodies election should be held on voting.
Dr. Janas Khan
All human beings are equal. We all are pashtun and we need to live together as we know that further division of Pashtun nation will deteririot us all. Manstream is the best option for FATA.
Barkat Ali Afridi
Tribalism should be changed.A positive state esystem is required. To keep tribal peo[ple tribals is a real injustice with htem They need reforms and positive change in their life.Practically I do not want to be seperated from the other Pashtun.

Iqbal Khyberwal
FATA, Reforms Committee and Human rights commission have the done the best job for the reforms in FATA.
President Musharraf 23rd Janaury devolution plan should be implemented. Local government system sould be established and FCR shoul be provided for accountability
Zar ali khan musazai
We live in 21ST century. We should know that all nations of the world have come across of tribalism. Today they are a changed people and have seen a lot of development and progress but they have now forgotten their past tribalism. They are no more proud of their past. Tribalism is the first step of humanity. But we are so much unfortunate people that we are still trablas. This is an injustice with our people. People abroad think that we are barbarians as our very name indicates, but we are not the cannibles. We want to be human being. FATA people want to be human beings. Politics has always remained as a forbidden thing in FATA by the establishment of Pakistan for its own selfish interest. FATA is like a pasture where animals in shape of bureaucracy graze. FATA needs basic reforms. Political parties act should immediately be extended to FATA. People should be allowed to form the poltical parties and civil society organzations to represent the people there. All types of the legal, administrative, political and economic reforms in FATA.

Political and legal reforms in FATA(Report)

FATA Reforms Movement
A brief Report of Consultation on FATA
Venue: Intercon Guest House
Dated: October 20,2009
Timing: 3pm
Participants: The attendace sheet attached
Reported by: Zar Ali Khan Musazai
Mr Asad Afridi Advocate, President FATA Reforms Movement welcomed the participants for sparing the mpments from their precious time and participating in consultation on FATA.He said that FRM is neither a political party nor an NGO and it has no affiliation with any political party or organzation and it is rather a plate form for the tribal people from where they could raise their voice for the solution of their problems.Later the participants introduced themselves and thus the house was left open for discussion on Reforms in FATA. Mr. M. Zahir Shah Safi Advocate the General Secretary FRM performed as stage secretary.
Raees Norat Khan:- Tribal areas have become focus of attention across the world in the ongoing international conflict between US and other forces like Al-Qaeda etc. Foreign agencies should link the funding for the purpose with reforms in FATA. These funds should be used wisely and for the betterment end welfare of the tribal people. A large number of the innocent civilians have been killed in the ongoing military operation in the tribal areas and thousands of the people were dislocated. It is the right of the inhabitants of the FATA to make their own decisions. Political Agent system is the worst one and today it does not suite to our people. Political reforms are the need of the hour. People need human rights, democratic institutions and justice. People are no more in mood to live under this inhuman system.
Shahsawar mohmand
Article 247 excluded the tribal areas from the jurisdiction of the supreme court and High court of Pakistan. FCR failed to meet the test of compatability. British devised the regulation as an instrument of subjugating the tribes. Today this system has insulted our elders to the extent that it is now below the humanity.
Khan Habib Afridi
Tribal people are not averse to the reforms in FATA. The actual hindrances are created by the establishment itself. The bureaucracy does not like to see local government system in FATA on ht ebasis of adult franchise because of its own selfish interests. Reforms should be introduced in FATA, because it is the need of ht ehour. Administartion wants to push the tribal people backward but the tribal pashtun proved that they were politically mature.
Zartif Khan Afridi
In FATA women,s existence is still not accepted. They have no right to inherit property. Tribal society is patriarchal in nature and this is the reason that the existance of a woman is attached to the honour of a man. Minor girls and women should be stopped giving to the rival party to resolve the conflicts among the etribal pashtun. In FCR there is no provision to curb this inhuman practice. Tribal people want reforms and good governance in FATA.
Raheem Shah Advocate
Tribalism is a curse and more than an insult in 21st century. FCR should be totally abolished as it is of no use and FATA should immediately be integrated into the province of Pashtunkhwa. We need unity with Pashtun living in Peshawar and other parts of the province. Reforms is not a solution of the problem rather it will aggravate the problem further. We all are Pashtun and our identity should be like a pashtun. Tribal is nothing but it is the first step of the humanity. All the people in the world have come across this process buit today they do not recall their past with pride.
Luqman Afridi
Reforms are not the solution of our problem. FATA should be integrated with province. We are not different people. We all are called Pashtun and our identity should be of pashtun. Pashtun nation need unity and division will drag us to further destruction.FCR and tribalism are not having capability to solve our problems. We wioll win only if we get united.
Iqbal Khyberwal
FATA, Reforms Committee and Human rights commission have the done the best job for the reforms in FATA.
President Musharraf 23rd Janaury devolution plan should be implemented. Local government system sould be established and FCR shoul be provided for accountability.
Mukarram Khan Atif
Publication Act should be extended to the FATA so that the journalists belonging to FATA could be able to bring out their own newspapaers and journals. In FATA Journalists are shackled and most of the journalists working for various media channels and newspapaers do not get salary.

Toddlers die in Kurram Agency FATA due to non availability of medicine in hospitals

It was reported in a section of Pakistani press that two toddlers in Kurram Agency died due to non availability of the life saving drugs in hospitals there. This is not the first time that we hear horrible news like it but the international community is slumbering deep either knowing nothing or does not like to know it. When children are dying in hospitals due to non availability of the medicine then what to say of the dreaded situations made the Pashtun nation as a hostage. This nation has been made hostage by terrorists and Pakistan alike. What type of the state is it when it is unable to clear road leading from Parachinar to Peshawar from the siege of the terrorists. This is alarming and all those who have heart in chests should come forward and help Pashtun nation and save them from further destruction by the criminal hands of Punjabi politician.military and militant alike.
